Good morning/afternoon to all! I love to crochet and thought I'd share a couple of afghans I am working on for Christmas gifts with you today. The first one is just a basic granny square that will have a scalloped edge to it when I'm done. I've included a pic of a finished one we use when watching t.v. to show you what it looks like.
Here's a pic of the scalloped edge this one will have when I'm finished:
The second one I want to share is a shell stitch and it will also have the scalloped edging added to it when it's finished. I make a lot of these in a baby size and thread a contrasting colored ribbon along each side and tie bows in the corners. They work up quickly and make great gifts for new moms to be!
So there is a taste of what I'm working on for this Wednesday. Hope everyone has a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time. . .
Hugs,
Donna
Very nice...I love your afghans! I just wish I knew how to crochet! My grandma has made a lot of afghans & I was just talking about how I wish I had some of them!

So talented! My Mom makes afgans, but I can only crochet a little. WTG. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely wonderful Donna! I attempted to teach myself to crochet a couple of years ago....I think I made 1 flower! ha-ha! Now I have not done it in so long, I totally forget! Your's are beautiful! Love the colors you have used also!
ReplyDeleteDonna,
ReplyDeleteYour afghans are beautiful! I taught myself to crochet a few years ago but my pieces never quite turned out the way I wanted them to. I don't think I have the patience to keep all of my stitches even? You do wonderful work and I'm sure they will be great gifts for someone!
Thanks for participating :)

Love both of your afghans Donna!! The colors in both of them are so very pretty!! I am in the process of making an afghan for our home. The one I'm making is made by using all triple crochet's and sometimes it gets kind of hard for me to hang on to, as I'm crocheting left, then turn work over and crochet back... I've not made one like this before, and I sure hope it turns out for me.. Have you ever made one like it?
ReplyDeleteStill lovin' your blog!!
Have a really great day Donna!
