Tasty Tuesday ~ Peanut Butter Chocolate Milkshake Anyone??

The other day hubby and I were in Sam's taking advantage of those "free" samples they are constantly giving away and we came upon this little gem. By far, this is the easiest to make and best tasting milkshake I've ever had! I had to grab the stuff to make them and you know as soon as we got home, the ole blender came out of hiding and has been in use ever since!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake

1/3 cup Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
2 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup cold milk

Put all ingredients into blender and blend well. Pour into chilled glasses and serve. Garnish with whipped cream and more chocolate syrup if desired. Enjoy!

I have been so slack in posting lately. Seems like I have just been in a rut. In reality, I have been taking stock of my life (sounds deep, doesn't it??) and have decided it's time for some changes. So I've been working on me, trying (and succeeding) to get away from some people whose negativity has really been bringing me down. I tend to let things get to me that I have absolutely no control over. I've decided life is way too short to be unhappy with my surroundings so I am doing what I can to make things better. My home life is great. I have been blessed with the most awesome husband. He lifts me up continuously and I thank God everyday for bringing him into my life. My son is coming home from Arkansas/Oklahoma on Saturday. He told me on Facebook the other night that he is actually homesick and is anxious to get home!! And even though hubby and I have thoroughly enjoyed our "alone" time, I am excited for him to get back home. I've missed him more than I thought I would!

Work is still work. That's where most of the negative people are that I am referring to. It is so hard not to get sucked into other people's drama sometimes! I work with one lady who is just so negative all the time. She does not have a happy marriage or home life and she is just the most unhappy person I have ever encountered. I have tried to encourage her to do things to make herself happy, but she is just one of those people who always has to have some drama going on. So, I have decided that I cannot let her bring me down with her and unfortunately, that decision may end our friendship. While I am saddened by that, it is what it is and I cannot change her, I can only change myself. And let me just say, so far, so good!!

I haven't done much crafting lately. Seems like with summer here, there are just so many other things to do! Weekends have been so busy for us and hubby's work schedule has changed which means that he has both Saturday and Sunday off now. While I love that in some ways, in other ways, I don't! He used to have to work on Saturdays and that was my "me" day. The day when I could do my crafts and other things around the house that I never seem to have time to do now. But I'm not complaining. I love that he will go to flea markets and thrift stores with me and never complain when I take forever to look at things. It's give and take, ya know? Anyway, I am doing the Autumn swap over at Prim Pals Forum and I am excited about that. I have several ideas in mind for my swap partner and I am anxious to get started on some stuff for that. I have been working on some rag garlands. They are my new favorite craft! So easy to do and they look great too! Instant satisfaction!! Gotta love that, right??!!

Well, I've rambled enough for today. I pray good blessings on everybody reading this. Have a great week!!

Until next time. . .

Hugs,
Donna

  6. Thank you for posting the milk shake recipe. It is to late tonight to make one but for sure it will be on my menu tomorrow.
I know what you mean about negative people.I am leaving here and going back up North and that is just 1 of the many reasons. I have fibro and when I googled it that is one of the things it said to stay away from as it will cause pain. I do everything in my power to stay away from negative people...you can not do anything to help them..that is just the way they are so why bother.
