Good morning/evening everyone! Well, the weatherman is cutting his snowfall predictions back to a mere 8-12 inches instead of 8-30 something inches for us for this weekend! How sweet of him, don't you think??
Italian food is one of my favorites and we eat quite a bit of spaghetti and lasagna type meals, usually with a tomato based sauce, here at our house. I usually end up taking leftovers to work the next day when we have any! I use plastic bowls to tote my leftovers and I hate trying to wash the sauce stains off those bowls ~ it's virtually impossible to get them off! So I found a neat little tip regarding this that I would like to share with you:
Spray a bit of cooking spray in your bowl before adding any tomato based sauce. No stains left!!
Well, I woke up with a migraine wanna be headache this morning. I have already taken something so I am hoping to head it off before it becomes full blown. The kid is being difficult this morning as he didn't want to get up. So that is certainly not helping my headache!
Until next time. . .
Hugs,
What a great tip! I get migraines too so I can sympathize, hope yours doesn't get any worse:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip Donna. I will definitely try this. I hate it when my bowls get all stained up. I hope your head feels better and soon. I hate when I have migraines.

Donna, I sure hope your headache doesn't go to the migraine stage, as I know they aren't good for anyone to have..
ReplyDeleteThank you for this really neat tip!! I will definately give it a try the next time I make a recipe that has a tomato sauce used in it!
I made my Chicken Veggie Soup for supper yesterday, but stored it inside a glass container.. I found out the hard way, that one doesn't put anything that has tomato used in the recipe into a plastic or tupperware bowl... That is...Until I read your blog with this great tip today!! Thank You Donna!!
Have a great day and I hope your headache goes away fast for you!
Blessings,
~Lynn
FABULOUS TIP....I get so disgusted with some of my storage bowls I throw them away...perfectly good but when you pick it up to use it for something it is very unapealing.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS FOR THE TIP.

Isn't Pam just an amazing product. If you spray it on your dogs feet and belly before you let them out in the snow, it helps keep the snow from sticking to them....and if they lick it, it won't hurt them! I love Pam. Thanks for your tip:)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for those nasty stains and I feel for you. Nothing worse than starting the day out with a headache and a cranky kid.
ReplyDeleteHope your day gets better!
Great tip Donna! Hope you're feeling better.

Thank you Donna for the great plastic bowl saver tip! I know exactly what those pesky sauce stains that you talked about look like! I will use this wonderful tip a ton!!

Good idea! I really can't stand stained up bowls. Sometimes I throw them away just because I really can't stand stained up bowls. Haha! We are a pasta lovin' family also. I always make extra so I can have leftovers. So this tip will come in real handy for me! Thanks for sharing!
