Thank you all so much. . .

Yesterday was such a horrible day for me with the loss of my bestest buddy, Skylar. I cried so many tears and just when I thought I couldn't cry another one, I'd receive another wonderfully sweet comment from somebody on here and the waterworks would start up again! A simple "thank you" does not even seem remotely adequate enough to express what y'all mean to me. But I have no other words, so thank you will have to suffice. Your sweet words of comfort and your prayers are so greatly appreciated.

Today has not been much better, unfortunately. I have not been feeling well for a few weeks and after much cajoling from my hubby, I went to the doctor today to get checked out. Turns out that I am having some health issues that could potentially be serious enough to require surgery. I will know more tomorrow when the rest of my test results come back. Then there are some financial issues I am trying to deal with that are stressing me out badly right now. And to top it all off, another winter storm is headed our way. I honestly do not know how much more I can take. Seems like when it rains, it pours. Have you ever heard the old saying "Some days you are the bug, some days you are the windshield"? Well, this week I am definitely the bug! I am getting splattered no matter which direction I turn!

I really didn't mean to go on and on about my problems on here. I want my blog to be a happy place to come to, but right now, I'm just not feeling it. I know that these feelings will pass, I just hope it's soon! There are so many others out there who have much more severe problems than me and I feel ashamed for going on and on about my petty stuff. So I'll end this now with another heartfelt thank you to all you wonderful blog friends! You mean so much to me and I love you all!

Until next time. . .

Hugs,

  1. Our four legged "children" are just as precious to us as our human children are. Our 11 year old dog is having health issues, so we don't know how much longer he will be with us. We are "empty nesters" and he brings so much joy into our lives.

I laughed about your bug/windshield quote...here is another one for you. "Some days you are the pigeon and other days you are the statue".

Grief takes awhile, but it does lessen with time. Take Care and God Bless! Donna, Ebay Seller ID: countercrafts, gmills4@suddenlink.net

  2. Donna,

Consider yourself hugged. You are going through a lot right now and it's okay to share some of that to release some of your pain and anxiety.

    Will be praying for you!

  5. Donna, do not apologize for expressing your feelings on YOUR blog. Sometimes it helps to 'get it off your chest', and put it out there to deal with everything. I hope your medical problems turn out to be lesser instead of greater, and know that you have lots of folks wishing you well no matter what. Money (issues) seem to be everyone's nemesis lately. It will work out somehow in good time. The weather!!???!!...now THAT is a pain in the butt! We are waiting on yet another storm from now until the end of the week at least! Where ARE the flowers???

We all care, so please keep your chin up and blog when you can about what you want! Wishing you good luck with your tests! ♥♥♥

  8. Unfortunately we all have days like this (sometimes even weeks or months). Hopefully things will turn around for you and your problems will get solved. Hoping surgery isn't in the future for you either!
Blogging buddies are the greatest! We may not know them personally but through our blogs feel like we've really gotten to know them. They listen and share as a dear friend would and they are great at cheering us up.
Hope the sun shines soon for you!

  9. It is always darkest before the dawn. Perhaps with the new spring will come better days for you, and for everyone. I know when I lost my beloved Tony, I was heart broken. My husband cried as much as I did. Now when we talk of him, and we do often, we smile and remember the great times we had with him. Then are others we have lost, like little Violet and Brian Erlacher, on their day of birth that we talk of how cute they would have been but how they are chasing butterflies with their Uncle Tony in heaven. It is natural to mourn. And healthy, too. I will pray for your health as well as your financial situation. These things have a way of working out, because God is on our side! Smile ......

  11. Hi Donna!
All of us would like to have always and only "a happy blog, where people can meet talking about relaxing arguments" but the real-life is different. :(

I am sorry to learn of the hard time you are having and really hope you will solve soon all your health problems!

    Hugs!!

  12. Ah girl, I am so sorry!! I am behind on my blog reading and just now catching up. Sorry to hear about your furbaby. It does get better, but you will never forget. I lost mine in '93 and I still think of him from time to time. It took me a long time to get over it and I said NO MORE DOGS! We now have a miniature schnauzer that is as cute as can be. We've had him for about 4 years now and while he can never take the place of my Pokey, he has turned into a loving, sweet dog that is part of our family.

Sorry you are having a hard time and yes, this too shall pass. Praying for you to have a better week ahead of you my dear friend!
