Our newest family member ~ It's a Girl!!!
Hi everybody! I had a great day yesterday even though the work day went on forever!! A lady I work with was given a Yorkie puppy about a month ago and I fell in love with her (the puppy, not the coworker!!)!! I told the lady if she ever wanted to get rid of the puppy to check with me first. I have yearned for a Yorkie for a long time but couldn't justify paying the high dollars everyone was asking for. Well, yesterday my coworker came into my office and asked me if I was still wanting one and of course I answered yes. She has small children (and older children as well) and she told me that she just has too much on her plate right now and was looking to simplify her life and needed to give the puppy away! Hello!!! Guess who came home with me after work yesterday???!!! Her name is Sophie and she is the cutest little thing I have ever seen! My family loves her already and she has been really good for us so far. The only "problem" we have had so far is that she thinks 3:30 a.m. is play time!! But that's what time hubby gets up for work so I think that had a lot to do with it.

Oh my gosh, is she ever adorable! If my daughter saw her I know she'd want me to go out and get her a puppy just like yours.
ReplyDeleteSophie is so cute! My dad loves yorkies and shares ownership with his sister for a little miniature named Itsie. He basically 'babysits' three to four days a week. Whenever Itsie is around, she is found in dad's arms. They are so sweet together.

ReplyDeleteDonna, Congratulations on your new Yorkie...You think you love her now....just wait! They are the most devoted dogs you could imagine. I am anxiously awaiting my next litter any day now...I'm so happy for you...She is beautiful. Tail is docked to the perfect length too...all too many times they are done way too short. (P.S. You may want to shave the hair on her ears as they appear to be weighing them down a bit...a small amount of hair can be quite heavy on them at this age and you don't want a floppy eared Yorkie...that's one of their most beautiful features!)
